A company can build autonomous combat platforms and still fail spectacularly if payroll does not work. The Payroll Systems Manager owns platform configuration, controls, integration and incident response for Argent’s global payroll technology environment.
What you’ll do
- Own payroll-system configuration, release management and integration controls.
- Coordinate payroll technology across HR, finance, tax and regional teams.
- Lead root-cause analysis for payroll defects and interface failures.
- Maintain audit evidence, access controls and change-management documentation.
- Drive automation and reconciliation improvements across high-volume payroll processes.
Minimum qualifications
- 7+ years in payroll systems, HRIS, financial systems or enterprise applications.
- Experience supporting large, multi-entity payroll operations.
- Strong controls, reconciliation and systems-integration background.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with organizations above 50,000 employees.
- Global payroll, tax or timekeeping-system experience.
- Background in regulated or publicly traded companies.
Mission environment
Hybrid corporate role. Month-end, year-end and major system releases may require occasional extended hours.
Compensation & benefits
The estimated U.S. base salary range for this position is $154,000–$198,000. Actual compensation depends on experience, location, role scope and applicable differentials.
