Principal Quantum Resilience Architect

Argent’s founding discipline remains high-assurance network security. The Quantum Resilience group develops architectures intended to survive repeated cryptographic paradigm changes, including attack classes that corrupt quantum states rather than simply expose protected information.

What you’ll do

• Develop crypto-agile identity, segmentation and state-preservation architectures for long-lived mission systems.
• Model failure behavior associated with quantum-state disruption and unrecoverable data loss.
• Define migration strategies for systems that cannot be taken offline for wholesale re-keying.
• Review high-assurance designs across Argent platforms and customer programs.
• Represent Argent in selected standards, research and government technical forums.

Minimum qualifications

• Advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent research experience.
• 10+ years in cryptography, secure systems, distributed systems or quantum information security.
• Demonstrated architecture experience across large, heterogeneous networks.
• U.S.-person status required for export-controlled work.

Preferred qualifications

• Post-quantum or quantum-network security research.
• Experience with information-theoretic security, quantum key distribution or state-recovery systems.
• Published work in cryptographic transition, resilient identity or secure distributed computing.

Mission environment

This position combines unclassified research with compartmented customer work. Some duties must be performed in secure facilities without personal electronic devices.

Compensation & benefits

The estimated U.S. base salary range for this position is $286,000–$372,000. Actual compensation depends on experience, location, role scope and applicable differentials.
