TYSONS, Va. — Argent Security announced the promotion of Dawit Bekele to Executive Vice President, Expeditionary Systems.
Bekele came to the United States to escape ongoing conflict in Ethiopia, arriving with no family network or institutional footing. Argent said he built his career through schooling, technical work and program leadership before rising through the company’s ground-systems organization.
In the new role, Bekele will oversee expeditionary robotics, field manufacturing, remote sustainment and advanced protective systems.
Chief Executive Officer June Shu-Xian called Bekele “an example of disciplined leadership built on competence rather than pedigree.”
