Make the whole structure absorb the hit.

Adaptive Impulse Diffusion Armor — AIDA — treats a strike as a vehicle-level structural event instead of a local armor event.

Embedded impact sensing, tunable material layers and distributed structural pathways spread a localized impulse laterally through protected structure, reducing peak deformation at the strike point and routing energy toward sacrificial and phase-change components.

The Palisade's separated turret assemblies can cover different sectors or concentrate effects under a single crew or remote mission controller.

The configuration also distributes critical weapon and sensor functions across more than one armored structure, improving mission continuity after localized damage.
